I would like to steal some of Michiel/John's exercises to put at the end of each chapter.

Yup. Firstly since a few people have told me how useful the notes are. Secondly, I want to freshen up before 4804. Also, I never really felt good about the parts I wrote in a hurry for dynamic programming and NP-completeness.
