Longbow fixes aren't fixes #77
Comments
I think the intention wasn't to fix them but rather to restore their BG1 stats by players' request. There are more item inconsistencies (e.g., slings), but I'd like to see some more comments as to what players expect. |
Changelog explicitly names them bug fixes:
I think it should be removed, but if not, there's got to be at least some internal consistency. |
@skellytz, I think @burner1024 is right. I Vote for: removing damage bonuses from all BG1's bows as in BG2 |
As characters using bows are somewhat unattractive/ineffective as the game progresses anyhow, I don't see how making the weapons and tools at their disposal even weaker would accomplish anything worthwhile. |
Both Deadshot and Eagle Bow somehow got damage bonus.
Longbows do not get damage bonus, at all.
Composite longbows get the bonus due to increased Strength required to pull the string.
Assuming the same enchantment level, longbow gets +1 to hit over shortbow, composite longbow gets +1 to hit and +1 damage over shortbow.
