I wrote about this on 14 July 2021.

  1. It doesn’t feel easy to add something after sending a message.
When we want to make this easier, we can use e.g. Podio.

  2. When one has a (good) reason to edit one’s message, one needs another service.

  3. When we want at least 3 people to participate in a conversation, we must use another means.

  4. When we want to organise our ideas well, we must use another means.

  5. E-mail is not designed for file management, so we’ll use software designed for this.

  6. While one can use an e-mail inbox as a centre for notifications from several programs, we could help you manage such notifications even more usefully with another means.

  7. Some people change their e-mail address.
I want software that makes it easier for us to communicate.

  8. Some people have more than one e-mail address.

We don’t need better e-mail services, but a better communication program.
Some people don’t want “electronic mail”, but a modern telecommunication service. Telecommunication was synonymous with mail a long time ago. I understand why people used e-mail between 1971 and 2010. Now we can use programs for telephony, commerce, and data management.
Let me know what you require of communication software!
