Feeding Trough should not accept items that cannot be fed to animals

Hi, thank you for this mod it saves me a lot of time and thus allows me to play the game!

I noticed that it's possible to put any item into the feeding slot and block it for additional input.

It would be good if feeding trough could accept only items that can be fed to animals.
As a side effect, this could then be used as a filter potentially.

I just hit this problem too. I connected my farms to the feeding troughs with hoppers. While doing the build, the hoppers would collect things and put them in the feeding troughs. I then had to tear down some of the build to pull the items out of the troughs.
