OCAB auto-cancels installation when it does a backup of my system in the base installer.

I was trying to install One Core API Binaries on my Windows XP x64 SP2 machine and the setup auto-cancels the installation when it tries to backup the registry. I don't have any of the other packages of OCAB. I have installed the Spanish language pack and Legacy Update. It has 17,1 GB of free space on the hard drive.
