I've just tested AdKiller with Spotify installed from snap and AdKiller didn't work.

Snap verison: 1.0.89.313
apt version: 1.0.80.480

I am running Ubuntu, Spotify installed via Snap. It is working fine for me.

  • snap 2.38+18.10
  • snapd 2.38+18.10
  • series 16
  • ubuntu 18.10
  • kernel 4.18.0-17-generic
  • Spotify version 1.1.0.237.g378f6f25

Did you install via the install.sh? I did not. I have a copy (a symlink actually) of spotify-wrapper.sh & spotify-adkiller.sh in ~/.local/bin/ and put Spotify (AdKiller).desktop in ~/.local/share/applications/

Now I'm not sure if it's a snap issue or what, but now adds are not being muted :@
