Description:

Requesting a new feature to enhance the Developer Certificate of Origin (DCO) workflow within the project.

Motivation:

As our project continues to grow, it would be beneficial to have additional features in place to streamline the process of adhering to the Developer Certificate of Origin. This includes improved tracking, reporting, and verification mechanisms to ensure that all contributions meet the DCO requirements.

Proposed Solution:

Automated Verification:

Implement automated tools or GitHub actions that can verify DCO compliance on each pull request through a github action or git hook. https://github.com/dcoapp/app

Enhanced Reporting:

Introduce features to generate reports on DCO compliance for better visibility.

Documentation Updates:

Enhance project documentation to provide clear guidelines on DCO requirements and how to sign-off on commits.

This is very similar to #19. Good suggestion @tannerjones4075.

My guess is we probably want both the DCO validation outlined in this issue and the CLA bot. I'll take on this issue.

Setup https://github.com/dcoapp/app for the organization. I'm going to close this issue, but feel free to re-open if something was missed or you would like to discuss more.
