Group 2: Roman Amphitheaters using RawGraphs.io #26
Comments
Has anyone had any luck with this? I can't get past the load data page - I put the data in and then there is no way to move beyond this! |
Hi Group 2, |
That looks great! |
(It is elevation, vs longitude and latitude) |
No luck at all! Still having issues with uploading the csv document |
Interesting! Ampitheatres love the seaside! Though that said, I'm actually surprised by how many are above 300m elevation (I'm assuming elevation is in metres and not feet?). |
Same here! I've tried everything. |
Hi both, I posted this fix earlier which should help! |
That worked for me but now it wants me to set the X,Y dimensions by dragging numbers and I can't tell from where. |
I'd recommend watching the tutorial listed on the wiki to familiarise yourself with the basics of RAWGraphs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yfac2CZJrP0. It should also help with the earlier query about adding labels. |
That's my problem, actually. I watched the tutorial and my page looks nothing like it in the section about the X,Y dimensions. There are no options to drag. I'm sure that it's related to entering the data wrong, so I'll keep working on that. |
ah, not sure why that would be happening but just in case useful, I've added a new version of the dataset which RAWGraphs should be able to parse more effectively: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SASDigitalHumanitiesTraining/Visualisation/master/datasets/roman%20amphitheaters%202.csv |
That works! Thank you! |
This charts capacity of amphitheatres, 2 groups (2nd century or not), and the radius depicts the exterior height. I was playing with groups, but I guess the division into 2nd century or not is not particularly useful here! |
