I want to track clicks on certain links in various riverscapes web sites (GCD, RAVE etc). To do this I need to add some Google Tag Manager JavaScript to both the head and body tags of each site. I believe I can do this once for all riverscapes sites and then use separate tag IDs for individual links.

Please get in touch the next time you're working on the theme and let's add this JavaScript together.

@philipbaileynar I want to revisit this as A higher priority. We need to start tracking analytics on who is looking at what.

I'm working on this now but it seems like there's still some discussion to be had on what it is we want to track and whether or not that's going to be possible.

My original request was for a count of clicks on specific links in the web sites. Namely, the download button on GCD and RAVE etc. That's why the ticket explicitly mentions the tag manager.

overall site Google Analytics is obviously a bigger topic. Hopefully that is as a simple as flipping a switch on each riverscapes site. I don't want to get bogged down in hours and hours of web maintenance.
