That "question" arose one of the COBIDAS checklist discussions but I suspect that this could also apply to some other reproschema use-cases.
How can one create "pre-set responses" to items that the user does not see and respond to, but that are still saved and exported with all the other responses?
To give an example: imagine a multi-centric study using the same protocol and you want to capture automatically as part of the schema from which center a given set of responses is coming from but you don't want to have the respondent to actually reply to any item saying in which center they are.
So each center could have the same protocol except maybe for one activity or a couple of items, that have preset responses and are never made visible to the user.
Would one just need to have only one responseOption and also use readonlyValue for the items that are concerned ?
Not sure my question makes sense. Let me know if this is unclear.
The actual context from COBIDAS is the case where a center or research group always use the same methods in their research and hence do not want to refill specific items of the checklist every time, so having users be able to pre-set answers for certain items could be a time saver.

you mean a default value? i think the readonlyValue can be the one you want? it will be invisible. we mostly use it for compute items. doing the computation automatically can be similar to have a pre-set response?
