It would be nice if the metadata of the post contains the web link in order to be able to share it, i.e-
http://post-office/archives/mailing-list/2014-October/msg00087.html

The thing I haven't checked is how Mailman allocates its numbers, e.g. 00087. If it always means 'the 87th message in the October file', this probably isn't too bad: the indexer (mailindex.py) needs to add another field into the database schema to indicate the message number, then the information exists for the link to be generated later. However if Mailman ever does something odd with its ID generation, this wouldn't work.
