• Look into normalization of data before adding noise
• +/- normalization for transmittance spectra
• Focuses for academic journal review:
  • Animation of SVGs
    • Slow and proper scans that display data transforming properly
  • Stability
    • Severely limiting server crashes
    • Making understandable, but secure error messages when they occur

For today (06/15/2023):

• Started work on updated source lasers in instrument window
• Updated FTIR tutorial to have bold, superscript, and subscript text
• Started work on making React-like components for the switches (only one JSX file instead of having one for each parameter)

For 06/15/2023:

• Added the Min and Max thresholds to Transmittance graph
• Reordered the Sample and Background graphs on the Spectrum Window
• Began bug hunting
  • It seems there are two different bugs happening at different Scan Number thresholds
  • One leaves an error message and only crashes on a following run
    • It is an ArrayMemoryError
      • when adding noise, numpy allocates memory space
      • Sometimes we are asking for too much space bc of the number of scans
  • the other leaves no error message and immediately crashes
    • I have very little information on this one at the moment
