Met with Ray to discuss progress on Oracle Cloud

• Using CircleCI to build the Docker container
  • Implemented and is working when the main upstream repo is committed/merged
  • Will stop itself if Python dependencies change
  • Should have enough free credits forever
• Looking into SSL
  • (update: This is now working)

Dr. Rason's requests:

• SVGs:
  • Update corner cube mirrors to match the width of the rotatable mirrors
  • Increase the size of the detectors and make the laser distance the same
  • Update the valves and hose from the pump/gas bottle/sample cell
  • Update the color of Tungsten and InSb to blue (#0006FC)
  • Update the hose to look like this
  • Update the gas bottle to green (#024731)
    • If possible label if the gas type is chosen
• FTIR:
  • Change FTIR-VSI (virtual scientific instrument) to FTIR-SIS (scientific instrument simulator)
  • Bring back Open for when there are issues with the server
  • Implemented new Tutorial write-up

For today (06/08/2023):

• SVG updates/changes:

  • Update corner cube mirrors to match the width of the rotatable mirrors
    • Needed to completely rebuild
  • Increase the size of the detectors and make the laser distance the same
  • Update the color of Tungsten and InSb to blue (#0006FC)
  • Updated laser to match the new parabolic mirror in the source compartment

• On the TODO list:

  • Add pressure gauge to the top of the sample compartment. Dr. Raston liked the colors of this one
  • Add info icons that when hovered can be used to identify the different compartments (sample, detector, source)
  • Update the valves and hose from the pump/gas bottle/sample cell
    • Update the hose to look like this
  • Update the gas bottle to green (#024731)
    • If possible label if the gas type is chosen

For 6/9/2023:

• Determined that the wtep bug is no longer occuring
  • now the find peaks code takes more time to run (it's proportional to the resolution of the scan)
• began reworking the absorbtion page to display a loading spinner and the find peaks data
