I would like to suggest the addition of a new function to VidCoder.
At current via the "Post-encoding" setting in the "Picker" options I am able to trigger a batch script that I use after a file has been completed. This works fairly well if I am encoding a single file, however it does have some issues when I have multiple files in queue or encode multiple files simultaneously.
Under this setting, very time an encode completes it will trigger the script. This causes many unnecessary partial files to get caught up in the script. As a current bridge, I have modified the script to exclude files containing .part.
Although I was able to create a solution that is satisfactory to my current needs, I feel that it would be very beneficial to add a function that would allow the end user to trigger an action "post-queue".
I feel this could be best implemented within the picker options and placed near to the "Post-encoding" setting section. It could also be more visibly implemented during encode on the Primary Window, in the dropdown menu on the lower right "When Done".
Since this dropdown menu currently contains options such as "When done with queue: Close VidCoder" and "When done with Current Job(s): Stop Encoding" etc., it may be useful as a location to include a temporary functional option for these types of commands as well.
I beg your pardon for my run-on sentences, and I Thank You kindly for your time and consideration in allowing me to make this suggestion.
some dayIt's a good idea but unknown when I'll get around to it. A pull request would be welcome.
