Basically, they output a more-or-less constant 12V, and tend to cause a short when a load is attached.

Need to check several possible sources of error in order.

  • Verify FET footprints against datasheet
  • Verify bridge design in simulation (and include the necessary documents to replicate that simulation here)
  • Verify the breadboard prototype against the schematic

Brian Barnes seems to think that at least part of my problem might be that I need to insert dead time when switching directions, as p-channel MOSFETS are slower to switch than n-channel. This makes sense, as switching the direction basically involves all six FETs.
