GUI app / executable not found after install

Hey all.
V sure I'm missing something obvious - yet not obvious enough for me.

I've installed qalculate-gtk via brew and also tried via macports. But after installation of either ways, I only have access to the CLI interface.
I've looked at the manual and see no sections with more detailed installation instructions and nothing on the qalculate downloads page alludes to anything further.
I'm on a mac.

Any pointers would be ace!
