The Stenographer project has been long on the list of integrations for webshark. Currently only file based operations are supported. Stenographer would be the file provider, based on the requested query.

Webshark already supports loading from URLs using the http/s schema through the upload form.

The primary components required to support remote queries include:

  • Remote Query support
    • StenoBPF Query as selector ie: port 5060
    • Time Range for query ie: after 1m ago
    • Build HTTP/s query to Stenographer "port 5060 and after 1m ago"
