Manual: Integrating QuickLook with Total commander
Thanks to flexible Total Commander settings, three integration options are possible:
- Preview by pressing space (or any other button). For selecting items insert works instead of Space key
- Adding QuickLook button to button bar
- Viewing as external Viewer by pressing ALT+F3
- Because of the limitation of Windows Sandbox, the following two notes are not applicable to the Store version of QuickLook. In this case, you have to use a small tool to invoke QuickLook. Click here for details.
- Fman employ the Spacebar for selecting items, so QuickLook does not override it. However, it is possible to set the F3 preview application to QuickLook. Notes here.
- XYplorer treats the Spacebar as a part of search keywords, so QuickLook does not override it. However, it is possible to set a custom hotkey to invoke QuickLook. Notes here.
- QTTabBar users may notice that the selected file will change when pressing the Spacebar. The solution is to turn off “Enhanced incremental search in view” feature in QTTabBar. See #726 for details.
