As someone who has spent some time researching this, this should be a priority. Installing Rosetta 2 effectively opens up substantive surface area on M1 macs and therefore they do not run with the full set of security guarantees we are marketed. Hopefully someone with context can give current state here?

It's already in beta. You can get it by enabling Early Access in the settings. Code will be available on github after it goes live.
