I also think that collecting them under the "Examples" folder as @GreatApo proposed is a very good idea.

May be it's better to store this values in separate files by id. But backward compatibility is above all. So let it stay as is now

I perfectly remember a lot of problems with the incompatibility of python 3 and 2.7. People did 2 versions of their libraries. Other people wrote special tricky wrappers for libraries - to make it work on both 3 and 2.7 - for they python 3 makes damage only whithout benefits. It's scary to imagine how many people just waste time to run the script on the right version of python. And the most annoying thing is, I vaguely remember what's good about python 3 (it's better, I know, but the damage is incommensurable).

The input boxes is a convenient way for others to use your worksheets without the risk to accidently dammage your source code. If you select an option, it should have been saved when you go back to input mode. Probably, there is something in the code that prevents the normal work.

If input values switch places, maybe it is similar to @hildebrandopsj's problem: some are in #post or #hide area. I can make the program to detect and report such cases as errors. That will make easier to use this feature.

Hi, the problem is that the select element should not remain in the post phase. The reason is that the input boxes disappear including the one that is connected to the select element with id. You need to put the select element in #pre area and then, display whatever text you need in #post area:

I have not figured out how to do this so far. Thе "select" element is not a native feature of Calcpad, but it is achieved by some additional Html + Java Script. In this way, it is also possible to add checkboxes, option boxes or any other UI elements. However, I will check whether I can make the "select" element to freeze somehow with the current value, when it remains in the output.

@cser I made the selected text to remain in the output without the need to use #ifs. Just leave it as is in the #show section. It is all in the Html template. Download and unzip template.html in your c:\program files\Calcpad folder and try how it works:

Found problems:

1. It saves state betwean launches only after "normal" number input field changing.
2. Impossible to hide material = ? in #pre block - it shows first values independent of selected in final mode

No, you cannot hide the input field in #pre and leave the "select" element at the same time. You have to leave the input field as well. It is needed to restore the the "select" state after the calculation.
