Role

I play and create modpacks.

Suggestion

I want the tooltips of the Everforest Medium theme to be more legible.

Benefit

Tooltips on the Mods tab can be helpful in finding out the name of the jar file that corresponds to the mod name. This is occasionally necessary for mods that show up as "Example Mod", but is also sometimes helpful for mods that have abbreviated jar file names. The tooltip also appears when hovering over an instance icon and gives the path to the instance folder, which may be relevant if making manual adjustments to instance folders.

This suggestion is unique

  • I have searched the issue tracker and did not find an issue describing my suggestion, especially not one that has been rejected.

You may use the editor below to elaborate further.

The tooltip background color can be edited in the themeStyle.css file inside the theme folder. It's the option labeled "background-color" inside QToolTip. In the Everforest Medium theme download available on the Prism launcher website (https://prismlauncher.org/wiki/getting-started/change-themes/), the default background color is #7FBBB3, which contrasts very poorly against the text color, #D3C6AA.

Based on the options shown on the original theme's github page (https://github.com/sainnhe/everforest?tab=readme-ov-file), for my personal use, I have selected bg_yellow (#4D4C43) for the background color. I think bg_green (#425047) or bg_visual (#514045) would also be harmonious and attention-catching choices that contrast against the elements it will be displayed against.
