Use commands properly

I want to set up my tools the way the wysiwyg-e is doing it, and it is using the standard document.execCommand API. I'm not really doing that, I'm doing it a little more manually, and so it might not handle certain things as well. It would be nice to go with the convetion that the wysiwyg-e is already doing.
