For example, take works but application sugar does not

m> [(:foo :bar)  ((:foo :bar) :baz)]
"(unknown)" (line 1, column 2):
unexpected "("
expecting whitespace, name, application, keyword or lambda
m> [take (:foo :bar) ((:foo :bar) :baz)]
:baz
