jquery free ajax example?

Since the point of this project is to not need jquery, it seems odd to only include ajax examples that require jquery. I'd love to not have to learn enough about jquery to not need it for doing ajax. Reference: https://blog.garstasio.com/you-dont-need-jquery/ajax/
