Feature Request: Pin post #2324
Comments
@palisadoes I would love to work on this feature |

Closing. No activity |
I have started working on the issue, @palisadoes. If you can please re-open it, I'd submit my PR in a week |
We are not going to reopen this issue. Only pinned posts can have titles. |
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
A post needs to be pinned in order to add a title. And title is a mandatory field which means an admin cannot create a post without pinning it. An admin may want to create a post without pinning it.
For example, maybe the admin wants to make an announcement post regarding an event but may not want to pin it to the top, taking away the importance from the pinned post.
Additionally, admins should also be able to pin already existing posts.
Describe the solution you'd like
Allow admins to create a post with a title without necessarily pinning the post and pin already existing posts.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Limit the number of posts that can be pinned and only show the pinned posts on the dashboard in the 'Latest Posts' section to decrease sensory overload.
Additional context
Additionally, an admin cannot pin an existing post
