PS1 Loader

Features

Allow booting up custom PS1 game images in EBOOT.PBP format, either PSN or PSX2PSP. Has limited plugin functionality, with cwcheat being the main working plugin. Other plugins might work but are untested.

The main launcher is called xMenu and is heavily limited in functionality, being only capable of scanning PS1 games and launching them, with bare minimum customization.

It requires taiHEN plugins to run on later firmwares, though it can be chainloaded from a crafted PS1 savedata on official firmware 3.20 or below.

Manual Install

NOTE: this is the manual installation method, for an automatic and easier install use FasterARK instead: https://github.com/PSP-Archive/ARK-4/wiki/FasterARK

Prerequisites

  • Works on Firmware 3.60 up to 3.74 (latest).

  • Requires Henkaku/h-encore or any native hack.

Setup & Install

  1. Requires NoPspEmuDrm (you can use AutoPlugin).

  2. Requires latest ARK-4 installed (ARK_01234 savedata).

  3. Copy ps1cfw_enabler.suprx from PSVita/PS1CFW/ to ur0:tai/.

  4. Open ur0:tai/config.txt, add the following line; *SCPS10084 ur0:tai/ps1cfw_enabler.suprx and save.

  5. Copy SCPS10084 from PSVita/PS1CFW/ to ux0:pspemu/PSP/GAME/.

  6. Download and install the latest VitaShell with support for refreshing PSP/PSX games from here: https://github.com/LiEnby/VitaShell/releases

  7. Use VitaShell to Refresh Live Area. A new ARK-X bubble should appear.

  8. Go to System Settings, open Henkaku Settings and Reload taiHEN config for plugin configuration to take effect.

NOTE: plugin support is limited.
