Linear gradient background possibility

I would like to have possibility of creating cover with gradient brackground that blends with post page background color

Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to have possibility of defining two colors (on 0% and 100%) and gradient direction (top to bottom, left to right, top-left to bottom right and top-right to bottom-left)

As alternative gradient direction can be handled by some sort of knob input (https://www.cssscript.com/touch-enabled-knob-input-javascript-knob-input/)
