More Pieces Suggestions #14
Comments
Current thoughts from all past submitted requests: New wall and flat roof pieces have been added in 2.1.0. I don't think I want to go smaller than the 2m for roof pieces or make variations of the existing triangular roofs, it becomes a lot of bloat at that point. Gizmo can be used to flip the existing ones, though they may not snap very nicely. The other roof piece I would consider making from the list is the "topper" pyramid piece that will finish a roof peak - "joins at the center of a tile", though the new flat roof piece can be used in it's place for now. I do not currently want to make alternative beam pieces, the current selection is very basic and with some manual "shift" placement they can overlap without the textures flickering. I will consider making more stone variations after ashlands is released. That would include smooth stone wall 2x1 and 3x2. I don't think adding in all the marble shapes with stone variations would be the best addition to this mod, but agree that would be nice. Larger crystal panes would be nice, the existing ones do not allow for much creativity. I may look into making one twice as large. |
I think limiting smooth stone to the basic stone brick shapes is good for progression reasons. I think triangular crystal panes are the most severe lack. Maybe tweaking the support values on vanilla and whatever added panes would be very QoL. As is, windows larger than 2x2 are incredibly hard to make, and end up hardly being windows with beams inside for support. |
