Most techies hate marketing, in my experience. However there is a simple thing that anyone can do if they are participating in the forums and that is to add a signature line to the forum mentioning The Order and linking to it (if links are allowed in sigs, I haven't checked).
All new threads are announced by the bot 'aelfraed' in #orderofthebee, but they are also available at these two RSS feeds I built using Yahoo pipes, which aelfraed uses:

Unfortunately for this endeavour, but probably fortunately in every other sense, SO does not support signatures attached to every post.
We may need to come up with a standard signature for people to copy/paste, or to choose from several available sigs.
