0.3 release announcement

We're pleased to announce the release of OFDS 0.3. A summary of key changes is provided below. For a full list of changes, refer to the changelog.

What's new?

• Use of well-known text to represent geometries in the CSV publication format for improved compatibility with common GIS tools.
• Addition of a featureType field to the GeoJSON publication format so that OFDS data containing both nodes and spans can be published as a single GeoJSON file.
• Guidance on how to obfuscate sensitive location data in order to address concerns about disclosing the exact location of fibre network infrastructure.
• An updated primer with a greater emphasis on technical and administrative data to encourage implementers to publish more than just location data.
• Updates to external codelists (countries, currencies, media types and organisation identifier schemes)
• Updates to the Convert, Validate and Explore (CoVE) tool and Flatten Tool for compatibility with the changes to the CSV and GeoJSON publication formats.
• Various fixes and updates to ease maintenance of the standard and to ensure a single source of truth.
