I think it would be neat to color code the items based on whether they're trending up or down.

Any way you (@gertig) could look into something like this? Maybe something that tracks what position it was in the last 10/20/30 minutes or whatever and determines if it's trending up or down?

Hrrrm, this is an interesting concept. I wonder how many data points you would need to determine a trend on HN? Is 2 enough? Current and last rank? Probably a 75% solution.

Yeah, I just wanted to start a discussion about it. Probably a 2.0 feature.
