Feature request: Overlays

It'd be neat if the library would support overlay characters, where one of the characters [A-Z 0-9] can be overlaid on the alternate symbol table. In the PNG set the overlay characters are rendered in the -2 PNGs, and they should be placed on top of the -1 (alt table) PNGs when requested.

PS. There's also a new version of the hi-res symbol graphics out now.

Hey @hessu nice to meet you again :-) Thank you for heads up with new graphics and this feature request, i'm currently quite overloaded, but i'm positive overlays and new sprites shall be implemented, so if anybody beats me to implementing it, i'll be glad to review, merge and publish the updates. Have a good time :-)
