A colleague of mine is currently working on a rewrite of LAREX with a more modern tech stack and some additional features, among others also user management. I sadly can't give a concrete release date though.
The best way forward would probably to fork the current release of LAREX and implement the user management if you need this feature in a timely manner. If you implement special requirements in this fork we will do our best to also implement these into the rewrite of LAREX.
