Avherald article introductions are very precise and include a lot of information that's not necessarily relevant to the incident at hand (registration, flight number, etc.). It would be nice if we could strip all of this out and provide a good summary of what actually happened, where and when since we only have ~350 characters to work with.
#2 is a good step towards that, but there still are many edge cases where the assumed format is not followed. For example:

There are really two ways forward here:

  1. Expanding the rules to match as many different formats as we can (edge cases are possible)
  2. Using an LLM to summarize the text for us (we may lose on factuality)
