Should we remove element-desktop-wayland?
The package search for element-desktop returns two packages:
element-desktopelement-desktop-waylandExperienced behavior
For a while I was using
element-desktop-waylandon a GNOME Wayland session as the name suggested that one should use it when on Wayland. If I remember correctly, the other packageelement-desktopused to not start correctly on Wayland.As I recently had troubles to log into my matrix account with
element-desktop-wayland, I gaveelement-desktopanother try. As of now, it works fine with Wayland and seems to be more up to date.This leaves the question: Is the separate package
element-desktop-waylandstill required or can we remove it?No maintainers
On the package search, there are no maintainers assigned to
element-desktop-wayland. Is it orphaned or do theelement-desktopmaintainers care for it?Notify maintainers
