This relates to air to surface attacks.

The WS 3 terrain can change elevation as the pilot gets closer to give a more detailed terrain closer up.

This bring the following issues:

  • Target pod might not be able to see the target
  • Weapons and aircraft cannot lock onto target due to it being under shown terrain.
  • Weapons cannot hit the target due to elevated ground between weapon and the target.
  • Target can look like floating when seen by TGP or HMCS until get closer
  • Ground radar cannot see target
  • Ground radar will not show correct radar return until pilot get closer to terrain (very minor issue)

I have an idea as to how to do this, but I wish it somehow could get solved on the FG side though.
