  • Do I need to flash the image on the same SD Card that came with my original 0G (and actually working) or can be flashed in a new one?
  • What are the benefits that an owner of a 0G hotspot gets with your firmware? Hardware diagnostics, remote restart, dashboard...?
  • Is there any link already listing the benefits of your firmware image? Screenshots of the dashboard?
  • Will Helium stop official support (no more new firmwares releases in the future) for the 0G hotspot?!?
  • Based on the description: Manage your Original Helium Miner remotely using Nebra and balenaCloud does it means that an owner will need to create a balena.io account? Or just the device will be listed under your own Nebra fleet and owner can access its public URL?

Hope to see this FAQ & more documentation in your Nebra Hub soon ;-)

For the time being, thank you for supporting these original Hotspots as many users have been waiting for an update that offers most of the features that other manufacturers currently have. We have felt a bit forgotten in this aspect from Helium!

  1. You can flash to a new SD card
  2. You get access to the local diagnostics page yes. As well as this you have the opportunity to use our Nebra dashboard to monitor your device and with this you can also do multi-mining with other coins for example Mysterium dVPN
  3. You can take a look at https://support.nebra.com which has some screenshots and information about local diagnostics and our remote management dashboard
  4. I don't think helium are discontinuing the updates at this time, this is just an alternative
  5. You don't need an account on Balena. The description is a little bit misleading

Thanks a lot for replying @shawaj ! I'll test it into a new SD card cause I want to try it and check the dashboard (something I wanted since Helium 0G was released).

All clear for me know. Hoping this FAQ points could help other users as well :)
