Played around with this. Need to think more about what to do about a click for a pause and a click for a link out to source. Tricky user interaction.

This seems like something best left to page authors. There are so many design choices. I could imagine that there are a few things we could do to make it easier for authors, especially with SoundCloud audio where the target URL is not obvious from the markup.

Will leave this open for a little while to see if anyone with an actual use case comes knocking.
