NCO indicated that nwges is not allowed to be used in RRFS data sharing design.

NCO's view and tolerable ruling on nwges:

  • nwges is a legacy name that really shouldn't be used.
  • nwges must not be used to share data between jobs within the same cycle.
  • You don't want to move a lot of data between DATA and COM if you don't have to.
  • Data that is only needed for a cycle (between jobs) can and should stay in DATA (umbrella data structure like the one designed for AQM).
  • Anything that's needed between cycles should go to COM.

We need to review and redesign data sharing within the same cycle using umbrella data structure. Using COM for all data accessed across cycles.
