HOMEgfs missing error after update?

Hi @NeilBarton-NOAA - After updating to the latest hash in SFS I started getting the following error:

I don't think this is an error I have introduced somehow because it is appearing when I try to rerun cases on Frontera that worked previously. Are you seeing anything like this?

@benjamin-cash Do you have a variable HOMEgfs defined in the environment before the call to setup_xml.py? Please inspect your environment right before the call to setup_xml.py using env or printenv.

It should not be defined. HOMEgfs is a reserved internal to global-workflow variable. Defining this variable outside can have unintended consequences. The error you see is one of them. Some other variables are also noted here

Thanks @aerorahul ! Unsetting HOMEgfs did indeed clear the error. That definitely would have taken me a while to figure out - much appreciated.
