Is there a way to override consistency check between namelist options and physics suites?

I am experimenting with calling two (somewhat conflicting) physics schemes, namely "unified_ugwp" and "ugwpv1_gsldrag". When I do, I get the following run-time error:
An error occured in ugwpv1_gsldrag_init: the CIRES <ugwpv1_gsldrag> CCPP-suite does not support <ugwp_v0> schemes

I understand the error, but I would like to override it and allow "ugwp_v0" to be set to .true. Is there a file that contains the constraints required by CCPP which is triggering this error? This is just for some testing, and not meant to be permanent.

Hi Mike,

This error is triggered by lines 160-167 in ccpp/physics/physics/ugwpv1_gsldrag.F90. If you're really just testing, you could try to comment out those lines, recompile, and run again. It's possible that it runs into another error later with running two GWD schemes, but it's a start.

Thanks Grant. Sorry, I was about to send a message to cancel my request as I had just found those same lines you mentioned. I had looked there earlier expecting to see it, but it eluded me.
