Why are some options in the edit menu and some in the right sidebar (and some in both?) It is confusing, I was looking for things in the right sidebar, and eventually found them in the menu.

This is from moving fast and creating the two UI elements separately. You're right that we should have the same interactions available from both spaces.

As for why there's two spaces, we're maintaining the existing "edit" menu from the previous version. It also is easier to use on mobile. This decision can be revisited and revised post-launch if it's confusing or there's another way to improve document interactions.
