In trying to restore some of the missing systems I found that 0.160 is riddled with bugs.

Broken systems:
[A500] Amiga 500 games are not starting. Apparently the softwarelist names (EG: amigaocs_flop) are not included in the code. So now (still as of 0.163b) the shortname method will not work for Amiga, only full path. -- NOT FIXED IN 0.175 --

  • Perhaps I can recompile it, it only needs 1 line added in mameROMS.xml

[MSX] With MSX cartridges it is the other way around: Full path method does not work (so I can't add custom roms/hacks to the XML). This is because the mapper type for cartridges is not automatically detected. -- FIXED IN 0.175 --

[FAMICOM] The Famicom floppies won't run through standard famicom anymore and Twin Famicom (famitwin) freezes. -- FIXED IN 0.175 --

MAME has gone through a big overhaul. Version 0.175b has been released and many of the bugs seem to have been ironed out. They have even begun to work on support for the much requested Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Unfortunately Naomi BIOS still runs too slow.
