Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but we have a few machines where add-ins to Office creates thousands of dmp files in users profile under C:\Users\usersname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Wef\webview2\cc8ac3a8-db02-4150-80e2-7cdd597f0fd8_ADAL\2\EBWebView\Crashpad\reports
So far I've disabled "Viva Insights" that one generate the dmp files in another location under users Outlook profile folder, but now the problem has returned, and Viva Insights is still disabled, so this is another component/add-in I think.
Analyzing the dump file points to memory issue with "D3DCompiler_47.dll". All the machines I've seen the problem on were Lenovo with AMD Ryzen, so I'm thinking there is an issue either with drivers or hardware. Excerpt from dump analysis is below.
Why is WebView2 allowed to keep creating new dmp files without cleaning up the old ones once in a while? The users are only alerted to the issue when their hard drive has no more free space, at that point they have +9000 dmp files in their profile.
I've attached output from windbg, hoping someone can bring me some insight.
