Currently it only makes you automatically turn on passages when walking straight. The original DOS version, at least on Epyx v1.49, worked like running (f + direction or "upper case" direction like H), fully exploring passages until a door or a bifurcation, and also working inside rooms.
Not sure if this improved Fast Mode was a new feature in Epyx 1.49 that was not yet on the original codebase this project works on, of if the Fast Mode was broken during the port.
