Releases: Meorge/sneaksters-testing
v0.1.9.1 Pre-Alpha (10 October 2019, 9:30 PM PST)
There's not much new in this build, aside from a few more translated strings. The main reason I'm putting out a new build is just so that people can play the game again - the original v0.1.9 builds have now expired, but this one should be fine until 10 December 2019! If I don't have a new build out by then, bug me and I'll try to do it. (My fall quarter will be ending around then, which means I should have more time to work on a build.)
As always, please report any bugs or suggestions at https://github.com/Meorge/sneaksters-testing/issues.
Thank you for playing, and I hope you enjoy!
P.S.: If you're running Linux, and would really like to play, bug me about it a bunch and I'll see if I can make Linux build. They do take a fair amount of extra time to make, so I usually only do it for big releases. In the past, we've also experienced a lot of bugs with Linux builds that we haven't with the other platforms, and due to the low percentage of Linux users, it's not a very high priority platform, but having bugs logged is still helpful!
v0.1.9 Pre-Alpha (21 September 2019, 10:10 PM PST)
Things in this update:
- Door icons have been fixed (#42)
- The "Move Out!" text is now replaced by the "Waiting" text when you're not the Leader (#41)
- The hitbox for the gem sack has been downscaled, so you need to be closer to it to deposit a gem (#46)
- Guards will now confirm they have a line of sight to you before capturing you (#43)
- The default resolution is now based on the largest supported resolution by your monitor (#44)
- An activity log in the top left corner displays when players join or leave the Squad mid-game (#34)
- Emotes have been polished a lot! Eyes can now point at points on the ground for the Thieves, the Thieves' emotes are now displayed in screen space instead of world space, and they are visible to the Eyes (#45). Additionally, the Eyes can send emotes to nearby Thieves (#47).
Enjoy, and of course, please leave any bugs you find or suggestions you have at https://github.com/Meorge/sneaksters-testing/issues!
v0.1.8 Pre-Alpha (18 September 2019, 7 PM PST)
Admittedly this has fewer updates/changes than most builds. The reason I'm putting it out before the rest of the milestone issues were closed is because the v0.1.7 build is going to be expiring very soon, and as such there won't be a usable build of the game at that point.
This version should keep the Thieves' emote support introduced in v0.1.7, as well as open it to the Eyes as well! When a Thief emotes, their icon on the Eye's screen will briefly change to show their emote.
In addition, Eyes can now leave small temporary markers on the ground by pressing Space when the reticle is pointing at the ground.
Enjoy, and as always, please post any bugs you find in http://www.github.com/meorge/sneaksters-testing/issues!
v0.1.7.1 Pre-Alpha (14 September 2019, 8:15 PM PST)
This is something of an intermediate build. It's the same as v0.1.7 for the most part, except that emotes are (hopefully) now fixed, which should in turn fix a bunch of strange bugs that may have been occurring in gameplay. Additionally, the "Connecting to the server" box should no longer pop up when you navigate back to the main menu or change language!
v0.1.7 Pre-Alpha (14 September 2019, 3:00 PM PST)
Quite a few fixes and things in this one!
- Joining mid-game now works properly (#2, #35, #36)
- Changing language should no longer lead to "choose a job" screen (#21)
- Translation support improved (#27, #32)
- Icons should no longer freeze in place onscreen when in Eye in the Sky mode (#33)
- In-game SFX is muted and player is unable to move until intro animation is finished (#26)
- Character outlines on Linux should be much smaller than before (#3)
- The humble beginnings of an emote system (#28)! At present, only Thieves can see each others' emotes, and they must have line of sight to each other. In future versions I'm hoping to give the Eyes in the Sky the ability to effectively emote as well as point to locations on the map.
Enjoy, and please don't hesitate to post about bugs or suggestions at https://github.com/Meorge/sneaksters-testing/issues if you have them!
