Yes that is what i started to work an at the end of last year. Due to other things my time was limited. Hope to get something out in the near future.

Any progress on this, as that it one of the requirements I'm looking for? We use an on-prem instance of gitlab, so it would still be an http(s) api that can be consumed in order to find and download the packages.

Had not workd on it for quite some time but i'll put it at the top, as it has a lot more advantages as just having the option to use a local server. (Haven't looked into it yet but it's possible that the Gitlab api is different from Githubs)
