Currently there's a number of OpenAPI validations defined in the NICClusterPolicy, but these validations are fairly loose. Tightening these validations could greatly improve UX.

Note: it may make more sense to put improved validations of these fields in the webhook in order to re-use the validation functions from Kubernetes.
