Should we use ipython traitlets for TARDIS configuration

Currently TARDIS is configured using yaml, which has some drawbacks e.g. no automated validation of the configuration, yaml tags are not supported when using puppet automization.

What do you think about using ipthons traitlets as further configuration option or even as a replacement for the current yaml based configuration? Validation of the configuration is part of it and in addition, you can use arbitary Python code as well in the configuration.
