So, I was messing around with files, because I was trying to create a script for GTA5 -- and one of the files I went into was timecycle_mods_1.xml.
Now, simply the act of extracting it seemed to cause the file to lose its encryption. Which. Honestly. I don't know if that does anything. However, I noticed that none of the timecycle options in Menyoo were working anymore. They even lost their standard names, seeming to revert to whatever their names were when coded in (like, with underscores instead of spaces, etc.).
I can only assume that the timecycle_mods_1.xml losing its encryption was the reason for this.
Extracting the original timecycle_mods_1.xml and replacing the one in the mods folder doesn't seem to work, because again -- the act of extracting it seems to remove its encryption.
I don't have any other changes in that file that I am trying to keep. If I simply delete the mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/timecycle file, will it revert to using the original, non-modded version?
I am trying to avoid having to reset everything, thus losing a bunch of other mods, so I am hoping that the above is the fix.
Of course, I can't even be absolutely sure that the reason that Menyoo's timecycle options stopped working is because this document isn't encrypted anymore. So this might be a lot of stress to figure out how to do a thing, that isn't even the solution to my problem.
J.
